Our Shepherd — Bishop L. A. Wilkerson

A man, a time, a movement are three simple words to describe the awesome call and unique ministry gift on Bishop Lawrence A. Wilkerson's life and ministry. He is the Senior Pastor of Agapé Christian Ministries which is located in Austin as well as Round Rock, Texas. He is also the founder and presiding Bishop of the Agapé Family of Churches (AFC).

A Man.....
On November 21, 1993, Bishop L.A. Wilkerson opened the doors of Agapé Christian Ministries with only 3 members. 15 years later, Bishop Wilkerson now pastors one church in two locations, with a congregation of over 3,500 families. In addition, Bishop Wilkerson oversees over 38 other churches.

A Time.....
Bishop L.A. Wilkerson has a unique ability to take difficult doctrine and put them into usable "nuts-n-bolts" principles that many have been able to apply with success in their day-to-day lives. Bishop Wilkerson has taken what some said was impossible and proven that through Christ all things are possible. His multi-cultural, non-denominational church in South Austin and Round Rock Texas has 21 nationalities comprised of Asian, Cuban, Jewish, Iranian, Indian, West Indian, Native American, Nigerian, Kenyan, Mozambican, Irish, Canadian, Armenian, Bayesian, Anglo American, Puerto Rican, Mexican American, African American, Jamaican, and German with a unified mission to impact our generation with the love of God.

A Movement.....
Bishop Wilkerson oversees churches across Central Texas from Austin, Lockhart, Manor to Dallas. He also has churches across the nation from Little Rock, Arkansas to Brooklyn, New York, and internationally in the Philippines and South Africa. Bishop and the Agapé Family of Churches have started a movement called Impact Austin for Christ which has literally changed the region.

Bishop Wilkerson is a college graduate with a degree in Public Administration. He is married to Elder Lisa Wilkerson and the proud father of three children: daughters Lauren and Lindsay and a son Lawrence. Bishop Wilkerson is the President and CEO of several companies, including a Real Estate Agency, Publishing Company, Barbershop, Hair Salon, Church Furnishing and Vestments Company and a Construction Company.
